Avoid Copyright Claims On YouTube

YouTube uses recognition software that scans the music in your video to see if you are using protected material. If it detects protected material in your video, it issues a claim on it.
You can avoid Copyright Claims by using our music, just make sure you follow the process below.

If you have a paid plan on Bensound:

Then all you have to do is to add your YouTube Channel ID to your account and you are done! Your channel is whitelisted.

If you use Our Free Music, New system:

If you have previously used our music, you remember that all you had to do before is to mention Bensound in your video description.

What has changed? In addition to mentioning Bensound, you now need to include a license code in your video description. This licensing code is recognized by YouTube and keeps your video clear from copyright claims.

Get the licensing code

Step 1: Go to https://www.bensound.com/free-music-for-videos and pick the music you want to use.
Step 2: Click on “Free Download”
Step 3: Then click on “Download music and get attribution text”:
Step 4: Your download will start and your attribution text will pop up:
Step 5: Copy the whole attribution text and paste it into your video description. That’s it!

Note: You need to generate a new code for each new video

What about my old videos?

The new system applies only to new videos, you don’t need to change anything to your old videos (Before the 30th of March 2023).
